SAFETY AS PRIORITY
Riders experience two types of impacts – radial impacts which are impacts straight into the head and angular impacts which cause rotational violence. With the MX550 we address both by using Conehead and MIPS technologies.
CONEHEAD TECHNOLOGY
For radial impact we have introduced Conehead Technology to our helmets. It is a unique construction that has two different densities of EPS. This increases the impact absorption of the helmet.
MIPS BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM
To protect the brain from rotational violence we have introduced the revolutionary MIPS brain protection system. MIPS is a low friction layer inside the helmet which allows the head to rotate relative to the helmet in an angled impact. This substantially reduces rotational violence and the potential for damage to the brain.
